Firearms Safety First, LLC is an education and preparedness company dedicated to building responsible decision-makers through firearms safety, situational awareness, and practical training.
Founded by Brian "Doc" Bowen, a 17-year U.S. Navy veteran, former Navy Hospital Corpsman who served with Marines, and Chief Instructor, Firearms Safety First was established on the belief that knowledge, preparation, and sound judgment save lives.
Doc is a USCCA Certified Instructor, USCCA Range Safety Officer, Maryland Qualified Handgun Instructor (QHIC), Delaware Concealed Deadly Weapons Instructor, and Cabela's Shield Certified Instructor. He has also been featured by WHRO for his perspective on firearm safety education and youth violence prevention.
Serving Hampton Roads, the Commonwealth of Virginia, Southern Maryland, and Delaware, Firearms Safety First provides professional instruction for first-time firearm owners, experienced shooters, families, responsible armed citizens, businesses, community organizations, and individuals fulfilling court-ordered firearms safety requirements.
